What artists Influenced roger in his early days of his career. I read somewhere that his main influence was Jimmy Hendricks. Is this true? I'd just like to know who inspired rog..?

Cool You've just answered every thing I needed to know. I've been in a heated discussion on QOL that Roger/Queen were mainly influenced by The Beatles. I always though Roger/Brian and Freddie were influenced by Jimi Hendrix but wasn’t sure

To be honest, I don't really think Queen were that influenced by the beatles at all. I know there were links between John Bonham and Roger, in that he had always been one of Roger's main influences, but they never actually worked together.

Roger also used to say his musical heroes were (or are) Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen - he covered the 3 of them as a matter of fact - but I think it's more something that belongs to his adult phase...

About Jimmy Hendrix both Roger and Freddie really liked him and when Jimmy died they closed their Kensington Market stall for the day in his memory. I really don't think they were influenced by the beatles but Roger did like John Lennon. I think Roger did a real good job in singing "Masters of War" by Bob Dylan.
