I was wondering if The Cross will ever re-realise all three cross Albums? I know here in the UK that Shove it has already been re-Realised. But it's hard to get a hold of MB&DTK and Blue Rock... Blue Rock even more so as it never got officially realised here in the UK (Why was that do you think) I would love to get a hold of Blue Rock as it's the only one I've never herd. I have all Rogers solo albums a tatty Vinyl of MB&DTK and the re-realise CD of Shove It. I hate using Ebay as you never get what your promised. I always look out for the cross albums in the second hand record shops. All there ever is is Shove It. Do you think they will ever re-realise MB&DTK and Blue Rock? DO you think they should?

It would be great if The Cross did release MB&DTK and Blue Rock again, but I think the reason they probably haven't is simply that there is not a high enough demand for their music. If you have not been able to find Blue Rock anywhere, I would definitely recommend eBay! It's their best album (IMHO) and I got my copy on eBay with no problems at all, you just have to be careful to check the seller's feedback before you buy.

I even wrote to Queen productions once asking for a Roger-The Cross-Brian box set just like the one that was released about Freddie - I guess they're still laughing...

Good idea! Well they should at least consider it. How long ago did you write?

I think that would be a great Idea. There's enough material from Roger to do an excellent box set (He was the first to go solo) It a dam shame the cross was such a short-lived project. I thought that they had a refreshing sound. I for one would buy a Roger Taylor solo box set. Like Molly asked how long ago did you write?

Not so long - 3 months I think...4 maybe...but I don't expect them to take that into account .

Blue Rock got pulled when Freddie died. Roger flew back for the funeral, and everything got put on a hold. After a handful of countries getting a release, Roger decided to call it a day and went solo again.
I don't think we'll ever see them re-released, unless they are picked up by a specialist label that doesn't do anything other than re-releases, like Rock Candy or Wounded Bird. These guys do a sterling job, they got hold of the masters, remaster everything and get new sleevenotes done. That's the only way I think you'll see the latter two albums again.

I don’t see why they shouldn’t re-release the Cross albums. I know there's not a massive following but there is enough. (Bigger than some bands) Roger re-released his solo albums a couple of years back and he has the same fan base as the cross.... Maybe just maybe. The only flow in my thoughts is it seems Roger’s lost interest in The Cross ever since Freddie’s death.. It's a bloody shame as The Cross were shaping up to be a dam good band

This came up on QOL a week or two back and someone did mention it to the band via a represtentative. The general response was that there were no plans unfortuanelty, although someone did then mention a May/Taylor combined set which could be an option.

Roger solo has always sold more than the Cross. All of Roger's solo albums charted in the UK, and he had a couple of solo tracks make slight impressions on the charts. Only Shove It charted in the UK, and the Cross never had a hit single. Roger put a lot more effort into the Happiness and Electric Fire albums promotion wise, and openly admitted afterward that he had come to the conclusion that people were more interested in him as a member of Queen than anything else. So the last I heard, that's all Roger was going to be. In which case, your main hope for re-releases is via a record label looking to cash in on the small but loyal Cross market. I don't think it would be worth Queen's while to do a Cross box set or reissues, because the Queen stuff sells in such huge numbers the solo stuff can't compete. It would be looked upon as "It didn't sell well then, so why should it now?" It's all about money sadly.
