Hey Tonipi! Great that you have completed the Cross' discography. I still don't have the original CD for MB&DTK!

It seeml like most everyone likes Blue Rock the best but Mad Bad has some great songs. I have a concert tape where they did Old Men[lay down] and the beat was great. Also liar, Top of the World Ma,Power to Love and Final Destination.

Great album, but I thought the version of Foxey Lady was disappointing.

I actually really like their cover of Foxey Lady. I don't usually like it when bands try to sound exactly like the original, but Roger seems to be good at changing his voice to fit in with the song, especially in his version of Racing In The Street (Bruce Springsteen).

...especially in his version of Racing In The Street (Bruce Springsteen). Now that's a song I like re Foxey lady, it may be down to the fact that we were covering that in my band when I heard this and our version seemed a little more intense - The Cross's version just seemed a little tame to me.

You have a band? Cool! What kinda music do you play?
I guess maybe that Foxey Lady would have sounded better played live, that's just one of those songs that probably doesn't work as well in the studio.

I thought Foxy Lady was well covered, in keeping with the Hendrix original but still sounding like the Cross. Live it was a little more bombastic, but not much. Roger's done sopme great covers - two of my favourites being "Keep On Running" and "Keep A Knocking".

Actually, after I posted that I thought that perhaps it was down to it working better live

Just listened to the song on your myspace profile, I really like it, especially the contrast in rhythm!

Thanks.
Wish I could lay claim to it, but it was the guitarist who wrote it!
