Well I think my top 5 would have to be (in no particular order) ...
- I'm In Love With My Car - I love the rhythm and drumming of this one, and it's just perfect for Roger's voice. Very clever lyrics too, who else could rhyme 'forget her' with 'carburettor'?!
- Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll - Great bit of rock 'n' roll, I just love the pace of the song, plus the fact that Roger's voice sounds amazing!
- Drowse - Love the slide guitaring and relaxed feel, it's really different to the rest of his Queen songs which makes a nice change.
- Rock It (Prime Jive) - I love Roger's voice in this one, also got that great rhythm (as all of his songs have).
- Action This Day - The combination of Freddie's and Roger's voice in this song really make it for me I think, as well as the great rhythm.

Rock It (Prime Jive) and Tenement Funster probably draw level at the top, because they are the two main Roger songs on my two favourite Queen albums.
I'm quite fond of some of the lesser knows ones too, like "Hijack My Heart" and "Human Body". And I don't know who wrote it, but I love the Roger/Freddie duet of "Dog With a Bone"!

Here are a few. I'm In Love with My Car- great for the drums and fun song Tenement Funster- I love when he sings "I got a way with the girls". I can just see the girls following him. Action This Day- should have been used more in concert Modern Day Rock and Roll-great rhythm Breakthru'- Gives me energy and a good feel Theese Are the Days of our Live The nostalgia is perfect for their lives Radio Ga G Perfect for stadium rock(hand claps and sing along) I know I left out some but that was my short list. Ihaven't listened to "Hijack My Heart" yet but intend to on a cd I just got

"Radio Ga Ga" holds a very special place in my heart for 2 reasons. The first: I've always been an avid radio listener, alone in my room like Roger says, since I was a child...and I also learned "everything I had to know" from there...The second: I was so radio-struck that finally managed to become a speaker in a local radio station! I found the courage to try when I was 25 - and I'm still doing it. (Along with secretary work and stuff for the same station ). It's not a very cool thing, as my radio is not that huge, but I love what I do. And I can tell you, Roger's words are still so true after 22 years. Radio's enemy is not TV nowadays, but all the faults and worths the medium had in 1984 are the same in 2006...As for me, I try to do "radio talk" and not "radio ga ga"...it's not always possible, but I think one has to do one's best! Other songs I like: Fight From The Inside, Fun It, More Of That Jazz (Roger's funky side! I love the vocals on the third ); Rock It (a light number, but I love the beat and Roger's voice here! ); A Kind Of Magic, Breakthru, The Invisible Man (the beat again!); Hijack My Heart (lovely! ); Ride The Wild Wind (...wild! ): These Are The Days Of Our Lives (pensive Roger). Never heard "Dog With A Bone" so far!

I also like A Kind of Magic, Ride the Wild Wind, and More of that Jazz. Not many people name More of that Jazz but its cool. I just listened to "Hijack My Heart". Its great. Does anyone know if it is a Cross song? I love collecting and listening to rare and extended versions of songs. Also "Dog with a Bone" is cool.

"Hijack my heart" is the B-side of "The invisible man"...Roger+Roger on this single! ;D (Though "HMH" is credited to Queen like all "The miracle" album).

And it's a perfect example of being a great song in it's own right, but wouldn't have suited the Miracle that well. I love "Hang On In There" but it's a bonus track. I would be weird if it had been placed elsewhere on the album.
"Dog With A Bone" incidentally was recorded and played for the Queen Fan Club. It was never intended for any album. There are two versions out there - one with a message from each member, and one that trims it down to anb (almost) finished song, which is the one I have. It's a good, mid tempo rocker, duetted by Roger and Freddie. Could easily have come from a jam, as there's a lot of Freddie-eqsue piano and Brian riffing in it.
The only track Roger wrote that I aren't keen on is "Drowse". The style he's used and the vocal he's applied if effective, but it's just not my thing. Everything else he wrote I love - even the daft stuff like "Two Sharp Pencils!"

Actually I asked the wrong question on the song "Hijack My Heart". I knew it was a song not included on the Miracle but it sounded like a Cross song to me. This is off topic but I have a wonderful cd that includes two songs by Larry Lurex[Freddie Mercury] I Can hear Music and "Goin' Back". Also on the cd are two songs by Smile "Earth" amd "Step on Me". Anyway thanks on the info on the song Roberta. If you find out who wrote the song "Dog With a Bone" James let me know.

I have the song "Dog With A Bone" with the messages to the members. That presents another subject. I think Queen could have done an acoustic jam session for they did have some good acoustic songs. It would have been fun to see them on unpluged we had on mtv.
